Review

These books are a cute way to introduce different vehicles and ways to travel! Usually, you just get the old “plane goes zoom, car goes honk” type of thing. But these are little adventures in the vehicles that showcase what exactly you do in a bus, train, etc. The bus one does a great job of showing how you stop a lot to get to different places. The train one is similar in that regard. I would have liked to have seen the camper van actually be the conclusion to the problem in its story, rather than a tent, since you usually camp in a camper van, but it managed to show off the mood of going on a camping trip- or the lead up to it anyway. And the Safari Jeep was a cute way to show a less dangerous version of what going on a safari would actually be like. There were a couple of tense slips from past to present that caught me in a couple of these, but it’s nothing the baby would notice and easy to adjust on the fly as you read. The only thing that Maren would have liked better in these books would have been if the wheels actually turned haha but she had fun flipping the pages and pointing at the animals!
