Board Book Review: Flight School

Madeline and I can read the story uninterrupted by Maren doing what she does best: flipping pages back and forth.

We received these books in exchange for an honest review.

Review

I love it when a favorite picture book shows up as a board book, because it creates this great experience for us with both of the girls where we get to read together but each one has their own copy. It’s especially useful right now because while Madeline and I can read the story to Maren, we can do it uninterrupted by what the little one does best: flipping pages violently and quickly! So while she experiences the book physically, she can still actually experience the story as well.

And what an adorable story it is! It’s such a lovely lesson on perseverance and teamwork and being okay with your shortcomings and making them work for you anyway. And alongside all that is some of the cutest artwork out there! I extra appreciate the fact that this artist clearly knows birds (she owns one. We own a few) and it shows in the personalities and expressions of the birds in the book. I really hope they come out with the second one in board book format also, so we can read them both together during reading time!
