Kat Keeps the Beat

Review

We are big fans of clapping and smacking stuff right now, so this book came into our lives at a great time. With each new page comes a new way to keep the beat, and a fun time for Maren and I to try out our own beat-keeping skills! The only one that is too advanced for her is the snapping, but her sister has actually just learned that skill, so even she can get in on the action!

This is an adorable little read that gives us a chance to work on motor skills, but it also shows how a group of minds can create something special together. (Also it’s a good animal starter pack for babies: cat, dog, turtle, bunny, bird). By the end of the book, the animals decide that all their beat-making would be coolest together and they collaborate- which is a nice little message tucked into this little book of fun!
