We love a good kitty plushie, but to have one that is a book character? Yes, please! We decided to pick Pete Jr rather than Pete the Cat so that Maren could have a character plushie more for her, as the Jr version is a bit more chunky and his features exaggerated to appeal more to her. Most of our Merry Makers dolls and plushies are currently more for her sister because they go with picture books we are reading, which Maren isn’t ready for yet. But with Pete Jr, we can enjoy reading Pete the Cat stories and Maren can cuddle the character extra easily while we do!

We love these dolls so much! I’m already making a list for Christmas for the girls. My dream is to have their toy bins filled only with dolls and plushies that belong to books they’ve read and loved. In my opinion, book related toys are the best toys, and these plushies like Pete Jr just prove my point!
