Picture Book Review: My First Quiz Picture Book

The great thing is that they work on two different levels because Madeline loves these just as much as Maren.

Review

Okay so I mistakenly considered these picture books for Madeline, but they are actually marketed more toward Maren, and are technically board books. BUT, the great thing is that they work on two different levels because Madeline loves these just as much as Maren.

At 4 years old, Madeline has the ability to answer a lot of these questions without too much thought. But there are some that make her think, and all of them make her feel smart when she gets so many of them. So it’s a very encouraging set of books for her. It puts her mind to work and rewards her for it.

Maren, at basically 1 year old, will benefit from these books tremendously over the next couple of years. As her vocabulary improves, and her critical thinking skills begin to develop, these will be fantastic for her. Questions like “what animal is hiding under the rock- the lizard or the bird” help not only for her to identify three words, but also to begin to understand under vs over and the like. And there’s about 15-20 questions per page. So much to learn! With her sister’s enthusiastic help, I have no doubt these two will enjoy these books for a long while!
