“I’m a little fairy with sparkling wings. When I get my magic wand, I’ll do amazing things!”
So thinks Twinkle as she skips off to her first day at The Fairy School of Magic and Music. She can’t wait to cast spells! But turning a teapot into a tiara isn’t as easy as it seems, and Twinkle’s spells go from clumsy to catastrophic. It’s a good thing fairies never give up—Twinkle discovers her own abracadabra skiddle-dee-dee special way to go about things. With sweetness, spunk, and of course, a lot of sparkle, Twinkle will draw readers into her world and under her spell.
Review
This fun little fairy book is quite a delight! It follows a fairy who really wants to be able to do the spells right, but is doing a terrible job at it. She practices and practices but everything keeps going wrong. Finally, she has to admit to her teacher that she is having trouble with the spell. And it’s by admitting she needs help that her teacher is actually able to help her. By embracing her own personal quirks, Twinkle is able to succeed. I think it’s a great lesson in a fun package!
