What Should Darla Do Review
I had a feeling Madeline would be into this, but I was unprepared to spend our entire dinner reading this because we both needed to see how the choices would affect Darla’s day.
We received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Review
Y’all. I had a feeling Madeline would be into this, but I was unprepared to spend our entire dinner reading this because we both needed to see how the choices would affect Darla’s day. It was a fun experiment to see how well I knew my child, too, as I had an idea of which choices she would initially make. For the record, I predicted her first three moves before she surprised me. It was really fun to introduce her to this type of story. Especially since this is the first that I’ve ever seen of a choose your own adventure for picture-book aged kids. Now I need several. This is seriously a lot of fun. And beyond just a great time, it has a great message built in. With each end of the day, Darla reflects on her choices and how if she had made better ones her day would have gone better, or being excited that her good choices led to a good day. Now, when Madeline decides to pick a fight with us over something, we can try and stop it before it starts by pointing out that she, like Darla, has the “power to choose” and asking her how her next decision will shape her day?
